DESCRIPTION:About This Event\n\nThe Barbara Swartz Annual Lecture is a free event open to the public in honor of the life and memory of Barbara Swartz. Each year\, we feature speakers who offer engaging presentations on all aspects of the Medical Aid in Dying field. For 2025\, we are pleased to offer a virtual program featuring Thad Pope\, one of the world’s foremost experts on the law and ethics of MAiD\, as well as a firsthand account of a loved one’s planned\, peaceful death from Carol Abolafia\, the daughter of Barbara Goodfriend\, a MAiD recipient.
